The idea behind the exhibition

Taking its title from an unconventional chess opening, Bongcloud Attack brings 12 works into a playful exchange. Moving between abstraction and figuration, text and image, vulnerability and humour, the exhibition draws energy from unexpected collisions—revealing new connections between artists, ideas and ways of seeing.

Borrowing its title from an unconventional chess opening, ‘Small Disturbances’ considers
what happens when vulnerability becomes a form of agency. The exhibition brings
together works that hold tension, humour, uncertainty, and poise — inviting collectors to
look closely before making their own move.
